After all, while it might look like ordinary furniture, it is made for "industrial" use. That means that the beds, tables, chairs, settees, TV stands, dressers and the other furnishings in hotel's rooms or public areas, is built to handle the wear and tear of constant use and, very often, frequent abuse. Still, hotel furniture manufacturers are doing their best to create a hybrid mixture of tough furniture that is so comfortable that each guest will think it was ordered just for them.
Though a lot of the furniture is mass-produced, some chains do have ownership for certain styles. Others have the financial clout to get special orders. The remaining hotels shop catalogs of styles that offered either in sets, or that can be mixed and matched. Each piece is made with not only the comfort of the guest in mind, but also the value of the piece for the buyer. After all, it might feel like a great bed when it's new, but if it is worn out after a couple of months of constant use, the hotelier didn't get much for his money and won't buy from that company again. So, it is in the financial best interest of the hotel furniture manufacturers to provide both comfort and durability in their merchandise.
Whether it's a great seat in the lobby area that allows you to set up a mini-meeting around a marble-topped table, or a super comfortable chair on your balcony so you can catch some rays while keeping up with your emails on that laptop, remember, your hotel has been furnished to be comfortable now and to stay that way.
